Hi, I'm Jack.

I’m an editor, project manager, and narrative designer with 7+ years of games and editorial experience. My strengths are in creative writing, editorial and journalism, and narrative design, while my passions lie in video games, meticulous project management, and playing the role of a versatile support, both in games and in life.Born and raised in the Bay Area, I’m a huge fan of the Warriors, Niners, and Giants; an eager eater of Asian fusion cuisine; and a fun-loving enjoyer of queer everything. I’ve explored a variety of storytelling formats, such as journalism, interactive visual novels, live news broadcasts, localization editing, and, of course, (fan)fiction.

As someone fascinated with words and conversations, I design stories, characters, and worlds based on how I think, speak, and interact. My work focuses on the good, the bad, and especially the ugly of interpersonal communication.Drawing inspiration from my experiences as a queer Filipino-American, I intend to create painful, funny, and heartfelt games that feel real and relatable but are undoubtedly something only I can make. I aim to build fantastic video game narratives that grab players by the heart, crush them with feels, and subsequently place a bandage over the wound with a perfectly timed joke—just as my favorite games have done to me.

With my experience in journalism and editorial, I aim to bring my wordsmith skills and project management abilities to any publishing company I have the opportunity to work with. I love connecting with people and establishing real relationships, no matter how rough the waters get. Thanks for stopping by!
